St Johns Cathedral, designed by the knights of St John. An amazing place where your senses are overwhelmed. The outside is grim, the inside an explosion of gold and design. Almost too much.

Another fireworks shot. I really like the way the colors turned out and the silhouttes in the foreground. The fireworks are a mayor part of the Festa. Great to view.

Festa in Sliema. A festa is a ‘ party’ organised by a church, where the patron saint is carried around the streets. Very impressive to see and we were lucky to find this one.

In de zomer hebben ze overal Festa’s. En hier hier hoort uiteraard ook vuurwerk bij. Een ware competitie onstaat over welk festa nu het beste vuurwerk heeft.
